Supporting Catholic Education
Catholic Education has helped prepare multiple generations of children for the future – for Galveston that is 165 years and eight generations. As studies have shown, Catholic schools have high academic standards, high graduation rates, high entrance to college rates, and high levels of service to their community.
Today, more than ever, faith-based education is especially important, providing our children a strong foundation and the tools necessary to navigate their Christian path in life amidst our changing world.
Supporting Holy Family Catholic School (HFCS)
To give the opportunity of Catholic Education to as many families as possible, HFCS has intentionally chosen to keep tuition as reasonable as possible and provide tuition assistance to qualifying families. In addition, athletic fees are kept low to ensure all students have the opportunity to participate in the athletic programs.
To realize this mission, HFCS depends heavily on the support of parents, families, friends, parishioners, alumni, the community, businesses, and organizations to subsidize the school’s operating costs. Supporters of HFCS have helped in many ways:
- Annual Fund
- Steps for Students
- Fundraising Events (Fall Festival, Haunted House, Bake Sales, Garage Sale, Car Parking, Golf Tournament, and Concession Stand Sales)
- Holy Family Parish Subsidy
Through HFCS supporters and dedicated and tireless volunteers, including the parent-led Home and School Association and the Booster Club, Holy Family Catholic School is able to continue to provide Catholic education to the Galveston community.
