At Holy Family Catholic School, we teach the Catholic faith and believe that we are on a faith journey. Religion is not merely a subject taught, but a way of living.
Students and faculty attend and participate in the weekly Mass in our school chapel. School Masses are generally celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. Students serve as readers, cantors, altar servers, and ushers.
Each day our students attend religion class, during which they learn the principles of our faith. Then, the curriculum of all the classes during the day reference and reinforce this spiritual message.
In addition to the weekly Masses, school prayer occurs three times daily. Each day begins with a morning prayer during our assembly. At lunch, our students say a prayer before and after the meal. At the end of the day, students also participate in prayer as a school.
We live our spirituality throughout the school year by observing Church seasons. During Advent and Lent, our students focus on spiritual preparation. The school joins with Holy Family Catholic Parish to host a Living Rosary to celebrate the Feast day of Our Mother of the Most Holy Rosary, A Christmas Pageant helps the school to mark the season of Advent. The school says the Station of the Cross together during the season of Lent. A May Crowning gives another opportunity for the school to honor Mary. Although we create a Catholic atmosphere, we welcome children of all faiths to our community.
